Dai’s Five a Day has been offering fresh and local produce for over 5 years, and recently have been working with WCFD to supply Foundry House, Pembroke’s hub. Fresh & Fruity are a hardworking, family-run grower and retailer of fresh fruit, veg and salad in the heart of Milford Haven.

Dai’s Five a Day has been offering fresh and local produce for over 5 years, and recently have been working with WCFD to supply Foundry House, Pembroke’s hub. Their friendly, knowledgeable staff are always a delight, and their passion for high quality produce drives their business to be a staple of Pembroke Dock.

Dai’s Five a Day had this to say about their amazing work:

“We’re so pleased to have saved locals the amount of money we have. We work with WCFD to empower the local community, not to make a profit on what we sell at the hub. We try to encourage people to develop their cooking skills when they come into the shop, so supplying the food hubs is a great opportunity for us to help with our customer’s food journeys and to encourage them to use different produce than they usually would along with their staple foods.
We try to get our produce as fresh as possible, so the quality is as good as we can possibly make it. We truly care about local, high quality produce, and we’re grateful for the opportunity PLANED has made.”

So far Dai’s Five a Day have supplied over 200 food boxes, which amounts to an average of 500 kgs of fresh fruit, veg and salad delivered to our hub. They have saved our customers at Foundry House an average of £6.38 per average shop. That’s a total saving of a truly incredible £1,200 for all our customers at the hub.
