CASE STUDY: Foundry House, Pembroke

The Foundry House is a community centre located in the town of Pembroke. The Food Hub is open every Monday, 15:30 - 16:30.



At The Foundry House there are lots of activities that take place such as short mat bowls, drama school, a cyber cafe and of course the Food Hub!


The Foundry House is run solely from volunteers and trustees. The Food Hub was launched on the 20th June to serve the Pembroke community. From this Food Hub you can purchase fruit, vegetables and salad.


The supplier for this Food Hub is a greengrocers in Pembroke Dock called Dai's 5 A Day which is only 2.5 miles away from The Foundry House.

Wales Community Food Distribution project has received funding through the Welsh Government Rural Communities - Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government

The Wales Community Food Distribution project and the Pembrokeshire Fresh Community Vending project both received funding through the Welsh Government Rural Communities - Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government. Both projects successfully concluded in June 2023 and there is now no dedicated support upon the completion of the programme.  However, should you have any queries, PLANED as the previous administrators, may be able to assist.
